OCT Angiography (OCTA)

Advanced, dye-free imaging that maps the tiny blood vessels of the retina, allowing detailed vascular assessment without any injection.

What is OCT angiography?

OCTA is a newer form of OCT that visualises the retinal and choroidal blood vessels in three dimensions, without the need for any injected dye. It safely shows areas of poor blood flow and abnormal new vessels.

Benefits over traditional angiography

Because no dye is used, OCTA is quick, non-invasive and repeatable, making it ideal for tracking diabetic retinopathy and macular conditions over time.
