Entropion Correction

Surgery to correct an inward-turning eyelid, stopping the eyelashes from rubbing against and damaging the surface of the eye.

What is entropion?

Entropion is a condition in which the eyelid (usually the lower lid) turns inward, causing the lashes to rub against the cornea and conjunctiva. This leads to irritation, redness, watering and, if untreated, corneal damage.

How it is treated

A short, precise surgical procedure restores the eyelid to its normal position, relieving discomfort and protecting the eye. It is typically performed under local anaesthesia as a day-care procedure.
